Elektrica: The Evolution Of Weddings

During the early years of Elektrica, 90% of our business was from our Austin Black Car Service. As the popularity of our Tesla vehicles grew, and with how exciting our Model X vehicles look, more and more couples started booking our Austin Wedding Getaway Car Service as their vehicle at the end of their wedding reception.  After quite a few weddings, we realized that while most people would book a 1 hour transfer, things would often take a bit more time due to a variety of factors – the extra care and attention we place in cleaning the vehicles prior to, and after the wedding, time spent where the wedding coordinator would decorate the car for the happy couple, photos with the vehicle, loading the vehicle for the newlyweds before they finished the reception, and more.

While we are always happy to provide extra time with the vehicles this was causing scheduling issues and bloated bills for our passengers.  To solve this problem we updated our wedding service by officially adding Weddings to the list of services we provide, creating Wedding Packages that would give brides and grooms an appropriate amount of time with the vehicle.  This resulted in both wedding parties paying less as our wedding packages discount the rates, and which offer free mileage and stops (which would normally increase the price of the trip far beyond what people were expecting). The packages include up to three hours with the vehicle, so that there is plenty time to decorate, take pictures, and make any last minute stops on the way to your hotel or the airport.

So far the response has been positive and has allowed us to expand our wedding services.  As of July 9th, we offer Executive Wedding packages as well! These exclusively utilize our Exclusive White on White Model X, give the couple time to use the vehicle before the wedding, for shopping or engagement and bachelor(ette) parties, and after the wedding with airport ddrop-offsand pickups for their honeymoon.  These packages are offered at a discounted rate as well.
